I'm not going to go into too much about the array of discussion that is cruelty free beauty products, or just products in general! As I'm now thinking that maybe I'd quite like to save that for a whole separate post entirely. I have spoken very briefly about my decision to go cruelty free, but probably almost 2 years ago now and that was before my big blogging break. I've never spoken about it in depth as I never want to come across as preachy, but there can be a difference between sounding preachy and just simply talking about something you're passionate about! & this blog is of course the place for that, to talk about things I'm passionate about.

I mentioned on my Instagram that I was recently sent across some absolutely lovely pieces from Seraphine Botanicals, which I've been trying out (from the second I ripped the box open), including this beautiful eyeshadow palette filled with pretty much every single shade I could ever wish for! & that roughly 2 years ago I decided to take the plunge into only using/purchasing and promoting cruelty free products, after stumbling across some information, being a big lover of the animals all my life I thought to myself that I couldn't stomach wearing this or that lipstick or using this or that products knowing that an animal had suffered so I could use it. Guess what? My love for make-up & skincare etc is exactly the same because there are still SO many companies, both well known/high end and small who happen to love the animals too and the cruelty free industry is ever growing. I'm also a big believer that the more natural the product the better and that's exactly what Seraphine Botanicals are all about, whilst still keeping their products high quality and pretty as a peach.

I've only pictured here just a few of my most favourite products they sent over to/am most excited to talk about, but they near enough sent me close to their whole collection which I'm very very grateful for so I'll talk about those a little bit too!

Chia & Camellia Eyeshadow Palette

I should mention that when I received this lovely little box of goodies on my doorstep, I had no idea what was going to be inside of it, they completely surprised me! & I had no idea this palette was going to be so pretty. I'm so excited to add this to my make-up collection as I've been pondering after a new eyeshadow palette for quite some time and this one just so happened to be filled with the perfect shades. You know when you buy a new palette and there's maybe about 2 or 3 shades in it that you know you'll never use but you love it so you take the plunge and buy it anyway, and then you get those other palette's where as soon as you see it, you have a hallelujah moment and just know you absolutely need it in your life, this palette is that! & I've even got my step mum thinking she would quite like to treat herself to one of her own already, girl yas. The packaging is a lovely gold and has a luxurious feel to it, printed with the prettiest white rose on the lid. It includes 5 matte shades and 4 shimmer shades, each one beautiful in it's own right! The shades are hugely pigmented, easy to blend and all round just gorgeous to look at, both inside the palette and on the lids! All of the products I'm mentioning in this post are super natural too, Vegan, GMO Free & Cruelty Free. This palette is formulated with Kaolin clay, to help with long lasting blend-ability and Chia & Camellia seed oils (hence the name) to give you soft, smooth, pigmented payoff.

Coconut Lipgloss Trio

Next up I received their Coconut Lipgloss Trio, I cannot stress enough how much I love these. I tend to shy away from lipglosses, especially in the winter as I'm sure we can all understand the terror that is your hair blowing in the wind and getting stuck to your lips, added with the fact that I have ridiculously long hair (I'm in need of a trim, I'm pretty sure my hairdresser probably thinks I've either left the county or died). These are amazing, they're SO so smooth, I even got my little sister testing them out and she has a thing about really hating the feeling of any lip products on her lips (just wait until she gets older and I turn her into a Charlotte Tilbury lipstick fanatic like the rest of the population..), they don't have that heavy, sticky, gloopy feeling that most lipglosses have to them where you're lips are constantly tacky whilst you're talking and feel like you've smeared melted candy onto your lips. NO, these are dreamy, dreamy like Patrick Dempsey from Grey's Anatomy. They go on so smoothly & they're so light it feels like there's next to nothing on your lips, but the colour pay off and the quality of the gloss is pretty fricken great with a capital G. Also, they smell like coconuts, what more could you really want?

The three items I haven't pictured here but still really want to talk about are the Guava Butter Creamy Lip & Cheek StainLuminade Water Base Skin IlluminatorLiquid Coal Waterproof Liquid Liner and the Carrot & Rose Hydrating Cream. I may add these into a separate post as some point! The Guava Butter Creamy Lip & Cheek stain is the loveliest shade of medium to dark pink, but on the lips really is that nice little bit of your lips but better kind of shade, perfect for when you're feeling like having a little bit more of an Au Naturallll day and you just want the slightest bit of colour on your lips. It also smells like a bowl of fruit! I love that it's a duo too so you can use it either on your lips or your cheeks, I don't tend to use non-powder blushers etc on my cheeks as I find them to be a little too heavy, but since this is all natural ingredients I may give it a go!

The Luminade Water Base Skin Illuminator, I'm really regretting not picturing! But when I first squeezed the tube after opening the box to test a little out on the back of my hand, there was that teeny bit of clear liquid/water that came out first that you sometimes get with new liquid products and I naively thought that was the whole tube and not very exciting, but when I went to use it properly I realised that what was really inside the tube was this beautiful golden/bronze shimmery liquid highlighter! I mean I should have known really considering the name has Illuminator in it, but I hadn't long woken up! So this I would 10/10 recommend, my sister (who is an avid "borrower" of all my make-up, which is printed onto the younger sister pamphlet as soon as they're born if you didn't already know *sigh*) is a big lover of this already, I mean, who doesn't want glowing cheeks, or just a glowing face in general? This is perfect for the Summer too as it does have a bronze tone to it, super prettyyyyy. It's made with cold pressed Evening Primrose Oil, that's added to give you a youthful glow to your complexion. You pretty much dot this wherever you would a normal highlighter and WAH-LAH, fairy.

The Liquid Coal Waterproof Liquid Liner was such a god-send as I was really in need of a new liquid eyeliner but you know, poor people problems. I've been quite enjoying the more natural look lately of just a little bit of shadow on my lids, but I can't neglect a cat eye flick forever. This is really really GOOD, I'm a big fan of and will always gravitate more towards liquid liner pens, this one has a rubberfelx nib and it's the perfect size too to be able to get that perfect precision feline flick!

Last in this list of mystery not pictured but still getting lots of love products is the Carrot & Rose Hydrating cream, you can use this either on your face or body and since I've recently ran out of my beloved Rituals body moisturiser, I've been using this on my bod! I really like it, it's made up of completely natural ingredients so it dries really quickly which I'm a fan of, maybe some people enjoy a really heavy body moisturiser but I can't stand the feeling of being too greasy and feeling like the moisturiser is just sitting on my skin. This moisturiser isn't hugely hydrating, but I do have exceptionally dry skin so that could just be me! It smells delicious, like rose petals and fruit. I'm very intrigued to try out some other pieces from their skin care range as I'm all about those naturallll ingredients.

Watermelon Sea Salt Mist

One of my favourite things ever to spritz into my hair is some sea salt spray, whether I'm just leaving it to dry but I want more just stepped out the ocean instead of frizz central, or if I've just curled my hair, giving it a spritz of sea salt spray can just help to give it a little bit of texture and drop the curls into more of a beachy waves look. This smells absolutely luscious, my whole head smells like watermelons, it's like perfume for your hair and the perfect Summer scent too. It gives my hair just that needed little bit of texture/wave and it makes me smell great so, obviously it's getting front viewing on my shelf.

Orange & Cream Lip Polish

I was so excited about this little tub! I've seen things like this in Lush before and always meant to get my hands on one, there's nothing worse than dry horrid lips especially when you really want to wear your favourite lipstick! & there's no better/more satisfying feeling than having perfectly smooth lips so I welcomed this lip scrub into my collection of must have products with very widely open arms. It came in the cutest little box, I've forgotten to mention that all of the cardboard packaging for these products is seriously impressive, they've really gone all out on the detail and even the boxes are printed with soy ink, 10/10 for natural points. Again like everything else it smells absolutely delightful, in fact I think this might be my favourite scented product out of the lot, I can't explain it but it just smells like fresh orange juice, a hint of pineapple and holidays. It contains a golden sugar based formula that gently works to buff dead skin cells aways, whilst rich Avocado & Apricot Oils work to repair chapped lips. Also infused with Mango butter to help infuse lasting moisture.

Which product do you like the sound of the most?
