I have been planning this post for quite a few months now, but I wanted to wait until I was kind of happy with the routine of daily products I was in and wanted to be able to talk about some things that I really love, especially since deciding to go completely cruelty free on the beauty products front, my collection of pretty much everything got stripped right down (much to my sisters pleasing as I donated it all to her) I no longer have a place in my make up bag/skincare cabinet for products that have come to the harm of any little animals. Also of course blogger problems, these kind of beauty related posts when you don't own all the fancy shmancy lighting equipment this time of year can be a little difficult due to Britain's famous gloom. This here is the abundance of make up items that create all the magic and I use on the daily, give or take! This was originally going to be a post that included both the make up & skincare items that I use day to day (hence the few skin care products lingering in the above picture, we'll pretend we don't see those..) but once it was all written out I realised it was way too long and I didn't want to torture you all too much with my rambling! So, I've split it into two and there'll be a skincare post coming shortly. I've been blogging about a few different things lately, but I thought it was about time for a good old beauty post, plus I'm not sure why but there's something extremely satisfying about seeing all my make up laid out like this..

Getting Lippy

Seeing these three little lipsticks lined up together makes me kinda sad considering I used to own nearly a whole draws worth from just about every brand you could think of, but on the other hand I'm excited to start building my collection back up again! There is another one from Bourjois I have my eye on at the moment in a lovely bright red shade, but whenever I go into my Boots or Superdrug it seems to be sold out so obviously quite popular! & when you're kinda poor like me, the cost of post and packaging can make you want to cry a little. But I'm in love with each of these & they've been my absolute go to's recently; Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayon in Peach On The BeachIllamasqua Lipstick in Sangers and Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick in PĂȘche Cosy. Two of these I also mentioned in my Lipstick, Bold Vs. Subtle post! They're each beautiful on & I feel I should probably say just how obsessed I've been with wearing the red Illamasqua shade as it's Winter/Christmas time & all that! It's the perfect red, it's matte & the staying power does not disappoint!

Painting It On

I think application is one of the most important things that goes into dressing up your face, or at least that's what I've learned since I stopped using my fingers to apply my foundation/concealer when I was about 16! I remember it was around that time I first got into watching beauty youtube videos and realised I should probably invest in a foundation brush! & I've owned a few brushes since then, but nothing I've really loved until last year when I received the Zoeva Rose Golden Brush Set, I think this is probably where my rose gold/copper infatuation started! They've since brought out a second rose golden & I think bamboo set which I am dying to get my hands on! Not only are these brushes very very pretty to look at, in this little set you get just about all the brushes you need and each one does it's job just perfectly. The only other two brushes floating around in my collection are the Real Techniques Stippling Brush & the Anastasia Synthetic Duo Brush , the stippling brush I use for the application of any cream products such as blushes/bronzer and the Anastasia brush I purchased 1. Because I really needed an eyebrow brush to actually brush through my brows and 2. Because it's the brush that comes recommended with the the Dipbrow Pomade, which you'll see below! And it's the eyebrow brush of dreams, I love it.

Ace Of Face

I'm sure there could be quite a few more products here, but I don't do the whole Kim Kardashian esque contour, highlight & bake kinda thing or anything really too extravagant.. It's simply just concealer if I feel I need it, foundation, a little powder & then a sweep of my bronzer and blush and maybe a little dab of highlight if I feel like channeling my inner fairy that day. I like to switch up products every time I buy something new, for example when I run out of a foundation, I'll buy a completely different one, so I'm always trying new things! But on a day to day basis the only things that change are my eyeshadow, lip colour or maybe I'll add in some kohl eyeliner! But that's about it. The items that currently meet my face daily are the Face Atelier Ultra FoundationBourjois Healthy Mix ConcealerBourjois 123 Perfect CC Eye Cream ConcealerBourjois Paris Cream Bronzer (this is actually supposed to be a bronzing primer, but I just wear it as a bronzer, as I've seen a lot of other ladies do too & it's very lovely!) Bourjois Little Round Pot Cream Blush in 01 Nude VelvetBourjois Healthy Balance Compact PowderBecca Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid Highlight in PearlCharlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita PaletteBourjois Liner FeutreCharlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes MascaraAnastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade and Korres Pomegranate Lip Balm. I realise that there are quite a few Bourjois products featured in this post, but that is for no other reason than that I just really love Bourjois & went on a bit of a spree recently! My eyeshadow tends to switch between the CT & my Make Up Revolution Iconic 3 Palette, which comes with the most unbelievably pretty shades wearable for both day & night, plus it's only £4 for 12 shades!! But my Charlotte Tilbury quad has been very much a regular on my lids ever since I received it back in October for my birthday, for obvious reasons, it's beautiful! I am absolutely itching to visit Charlotte Tilbury's first store opening in Covent Garden!! All products are extremely lovely & I think it's safe to say I'm pretty happy with the contents of my make up bag currently!
